Custom Long Arm Quilting Prices

Average density edge-to-edge quilting: one pattern over the entire quilt is 2 cents per square inch.
Dense edge-to-edge quilting: this is calculated based on exact stitches per square inch after the quilt is complete and unfortunately can’t be estimated before quilting. If stitching is 32 or more stitches per square inch, price is 3 cents per square inch.
There is a minimum charge of $55 per quilt. If you have 2 or more small quilts/pillows/runners to load on one backing that will use the same quilting design, this minimum will no longer apply to each single quilt but for the pieces added together.
Above prices do not include materials or other labor such as binding and hourly labor.
Trimming is free – just let me know you want it done.
Quilt Top Preparation
To minimize your cost, please prep your quilt top properly. Press seams flat, trim threads and points, remove pins or basting threads. Square-up and trim quilt top to its final size. Measure and press backing fabric. Place one large safely pin at the top of the quilt. Please note: the quality of the pieced top may affect the quality of the finished quilted piece. To ensure best results, proper piecing and preparation are required.
Backing
Make backing at least 8 inches wider and 8 inches longer than quilt top (that’s 4 inches extra around all sides of quilt). If Zoë makes backing, the below hourly rate applies.
Batting Options
Quilter’s Dream Batting is made of 100% pure USA cotton. All sizes are stocked in natural color.

Binding
There are two binding options.
1. Customer provides binding fabric, Zoë makes binding and machine stitches it to front and back of quilt : 10 cents per linear inch
2. Customer provides binding fabric, Zoë makes binding and machine stitches it to front of quilt and hand-sews to back of quilt: 25 cents per linear inch.
Hourly Rate
All other services such as project planning, making quilt backs, piecing patchwork, mending, fabric shopping, pressing, etc. will fall under my hourly rate of $25/hr.
Payment
No deposit required for local clients. For new, non-local clients, 25% of estimated cost required prior to starting your first project. Cash, check (made out to Zoë Dawn Shop), and Venmo (@zoedawnshop) are preferred. Payment at pickup, or prior to shipping, is required.
